Koh Tachai or Tachai Island is found by the man named Tachai, so the people called this Island "Tachai Island." It is located between Similan Islands Group and Surin Island. It is away from the mainland of Phang Nga Province, Phuket about 70 Kilometers. And about 92 Kilometers from Patong Beach of Phuket Province.
Whey we must talk about Koh Tachai Island? Because of on Tachai Island, there is a long white sandy beach (I mean very white, soft and filled sand) The people considered that this beach should be the best beach in Thailand and should be on the 1 in 10th of world nice beach. Moreover, the blue sea water of Tachai is much more beautiful than the other. It is a great for people to take a short Jungle walk up to see the view point on the highest area of the Island. On the way of trekking, you can see the Tachai Crabs, the people called Chicken Crabs or the real name is hairy legs mountain crab. (They growth up from the sea, but live on the Safari)

How to reach Koh Tachai Island? Tachai Island is opened for the tourist is just 6 Month a year (November to April) There is no any public boat so only 2 ways we can go there. One is by the Day Tour Trip from Phuket, Krabi or Khaolak. The other one is by charter speed boat from Phuket or Khaolak."See the virgin island or Tachai Island as you are having holiday in Phuket or Khalak is a nice thing to do."
